Beautiful vintage Korean folding fan presented in an elaborate decorative box featuring iridescent mother-of-pearl shell inlay.
The centerpiece of the presentation is an intricate crane design surrounded by floral and scrolling decoration. The shell displays beautiful natural flashes of pink, green, blue and silver depending on the light.
Inside is a coordinating folding fan with deep red ribs and delicate floral-decorated paper panels. The fan was found stored inside this presentation box and fits neatly within the fitted interior.
The outer box features a cream textured top with a circular Asian-style decorative symbol and dark wood-tone border. Interior presentation packaging is finished in rich red.
CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition. This set appears to have seen very little use and has been exceptionally well preserved. The mother-of-pearl decoration is bright and highly detailed, and the fan opens and displays beautifully. Original presentation box shows only minor age/storage wear.
No maker’s mark or exact production date has been identified, so no specific manufacturer or decade is being claimed.
