Rare 1930s Austrian Luxury Chocolate Box — Café Schindler & Lourié & Co.
A museum-quality piece of interwar European history. This premium plywood confectionery chest was custom-crafted for the legendary Konditorei Schindler in Innsbruck, Austria, a premier high-society hotspot of the Art Deco era.
The lid features striking embossed gold typography and the red-and-gold Tyrolean crest.
The base bears the factory stamp of Lourié & Co. (Wien)—Austria's pioneer in luxury wood packaging—and an inventory stamp ("33. 630").
Both were prominent Jewish-owned firms later "Aryanized" by the Nazi regime after the 1938 Anschluss.
• Condition: Solid structural integrity. Clean interior with original paper liner remnants.
