Vintage KNS (Kongelig Norsk Seilforening / Royal Norwegian Yacht Club) skippers peaked cap.
Features an impressive hand-embroidered bullion-wire insignia with royal crown, large KNS initials and nautical motif on a dark backing. Cream/white cloth crown with black band and black patent-style visor.
Interior leather sweatband is marked Ferner Jacobsen,.
For its age the cap itself is in good condition.
The outer cream cloth has staining, spotting and discoloration.
The interior leather sweatband has suffered and is dry, cracked and deteriorated in several areas, (see photos). Visor and band show normal surface wear. Bullion insignia remains quite attractive with age toning and wear.
