Vintage Japanese Satsuma-Style Hand-Painted Vase with Birds, Flowers & Gold Moriage
A stunning vintage Japanese Satsuma-style decorative vase featuring an elaborate hand-painted design of colorful birds, blooming flowers, foliage, and traditional Japanese-inspired decorative motifs.
This vase is beautifully decorated from top to bottom with rich gold gilt detailing, raised/moriage-style decoration, colorful floral panels, paisley motifs, and intricate ornamental borders.
The main panels feature beautifully detailed birds among large flowers and foliage, with additional floral and decorative scenes continuing around the entire vase. The combination of ivory, deep blue, red, pink, green, and gold gives this piece a wonderfully rich and dramatic appearance.
The decoration continues around the vase, so it looks beautiful from multiple angles and makes a striking statement displayed on a shelf, console table, mantel, cabinet, or as part of a vintage Asian-inspired collection.
