Beautiful vintage hand-painted Catholic devotional artwork depicting the Madonna delle Grazie (Our Lady of Graces).
The Virgin Mary is shown crowned and haloed, surrounded by stars and wearing richly colored blue-green and red garments with gold-tone details. The painting has particularly attractive facial work and softly shaded colors, with hand-painted details throughout.
Signed “Sabbatini” (or similar) at the lower right. The reverse bears the handwritten identification “Madonna Del Grazie.”
Painted on a substantial rigid plaster/gesso-type panel, measuring approximately 12" x 10". The exposed edge shows the thickness and layered construction of the piece.
Vintage condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, edge losses/chipping and other imperfections, particularly along the sides and reverse. Please examine photographs closely as they form an important part of the condition description.
