Vintage Italian Ceramic Still-Life Relief, c. 1950sThis is a truly unusual piece - I've never seen anything like it. It has been in my family for over 70 years.

Charming mid-century Italianhand-modeled and glazed ceramic relief, circa 1950s, depicting a still life of green grapes, golden fruit and a cobalt-blue pitcher arranged on a tabletop.

Measures 13 x 15 1/2 inches with frame

The raised sculptural elements and rich glossy glazes give the composition considerable depth and texture.

Signed lower right, “Mariano Basile.”

Silver-tone wooden frame.

Back is covered with paper
