Features a slim traditional design with two folding blades and light-colored handle scales featuring an ornate Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co. marking.
Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. was a historic Chicago hardware company that sold a wide variety of tools, hardware and cutlery. Their branded pocket knives were produced for them by various American cutlery manufacturers.
This example has two folding blades, one at each end.
Pre-owned vintage condition with considerable age and use-related wear. The blades show darkening, patina, staining, scratches, sharpening/use wear and surface oxidation. The handle also shows scratches, discoloration and general age-related wear.
The exact age and original cutlery manufacturer have not been independently identified.
