Details: embroidered eyes and orange mouth, dark wool-style hair, burlap hat, red and cream gingham short sleeve shirt, black felt pants, and several hand stitched felt and fabric patches on the shirt and pants. Brown stretch cotton jersey body with bendable posable arms and legs. Unmarked with no tags, labels or maker marks. The style resembles Caribbean folk art souvenir dolls, but the origin is not confirmed. Measurements: about 9 in (23 cm) seated height, about 10 in (25 cm) long with legs extended. Condition is fair, with honest wear for its age: the burlap hat is frayed with a torn edge, the tulle net is delicate and frayed, one foot has a worn hole with the interior showing, there is a tiny pinhole on the back of the shirt, and there are a few loose threads. The felt fish and embroidered face are intact. Good for collectors of vintage folk art dolls, handmade cloth dolls, fisherman and nautical decor, and souvenir dolls.
