Vintage painted metal English Bulldog figural inkwell featuring a hinged head that opens at the neck.

The hollow head lifts to reveal a small cup-shaped interior receptacle measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter × 5/8 inch deep, consistent with the housing for a removable ink insert. The original glass or ceramic insert appears to be missing.

The bulldog is painted primarily black with a red collar and red facial details. The sculpt features detailed anatomy and a compact desk-size form.

The metal is non-magnetic and appears silver-gray where the painted finish has worn away. Exact metal composition is unknown.
