Vintage Esterbrook J Series Fountain Pen Gray/Green Marbled - Rare "Bury" Nib
Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage mid-century Esterbrook J-Series lever-filler fountain pen. The barrel features a striking, deeply chatoyant gray-green striated marbled celluloid finish with double steel trim rings on the cap.
What makes this specific piece unique is its historical configuration. It features a genuine Esterbrook body fitted with an authentic, period-correct post-war English replacement steel nib stamped "Bury".
During the 1940s and 1950s, British owners frequently used these cross-compatible regional nib units as an alternative to standard American Renew-Points, making this a fascinating "franken-pen" hybrid for vintage collectors.
Great cosmetic condition with crisp "Esterbrook" script engraving on the barrel. Light surface wear consistent with age, but no major deep cracks or gouges.
Stainless steel "Bury" nib. Firm writing profile.
Lever moves smoothly, and the internal ink sac has been replaced.
Included with the pen is a protective case, ensuring it remains pristine and ready for use.
Please view the photos closely for cosmetic condition.
Shipping will be securely tracked via Australia Post.
