My late husband was a Blair, third generation to America. This paperweight is one of a vast smorgasbord of items he owned. It is vintage, and all defects are within the plastic that contains the image. The paperweight is 2-3/4" in diameter, which is larger than most current clan paperweights, and it weighs in at 6.6 oz. The paperweight stands at 3/4" high.
The phrase, "Virtute Tutus," is part of the Blair heraldry means "By Virtue Safe." The clan crests vary according to meaning, and you can find more information at blairsociety.org.
Stored in a non-smoking environment.
