Vintage Beta Sigma Phi ΒΣΦ Sorority Heart Life Member Torch Pin Sapphire .5"H
This SMALL vintage Beta Sigma Phi jeweled heart torch Life Member insignia/logo lapel pin will make a great addition to your collection. It features a dimensional torch insignia (with attached base metal/plated chain) in a rich gold tone finished & cast metal with white enamel style heart shape around what appears to be a white sapphire (or similar stone, in a bead or grain style setting), a black enameled banner at the top with goldΒΣΦ letters, a black enamel banner at the bottom that reads LIFE MEMBER in gold& a safety catch pin clasp attached to the back side.
The pin appears to be unmarked and the metal appears to be either a plated base metal or unknown gold tone base metal and the stone tests between the Topaz & Sapphire ranges on my Presidium Gem Tester but I am not sure what the stone actually is or if it is lab-made or natural.It does have wear including dark lines/marks on the white enameled heart shape, surface abrasions & scratches, dulling, worn down edges/corners/details and more so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition.Please note that the piece will be properly packaged and boxed in order to avoid any damage during transit.Thank you and enjoy!ITEM DETAILS:

• Approximate weight is .9g total including the attached chain
• Measures approximately 3/16" deep x 3/16" wide x 1/2" tall overall roughly, not including the chain which measures approximately 1.75" long.
• Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including dark lines/spots/areas on the white enameling, pitting, dimpling, scuffing, scratches, fine abrasions, patina, tarnish, dents, dings, dirt, dust, grime, fading, worn down surface finish, indented areas on the metal finish, uneven finishing with areas of etched/matte finish and shinier areas, fine abrasions/dulling/wear all over the metal surfaces, worn down edges/corners/details, uneven casting on the details, black/darkened areas of metal in the crevices/details, black areas on the back side around the clasp solders/welds, uneven surface finish/shapes/forms/details/textures, fingerprints, loose fibers/lent, discoloring, stains, uneven sheen/finish and overall wear from age and handling. • Age/era: Unknown, I am guessing that it was made post-1950s but I cannot guarantee
• Origin: United States
• Marks: Unmarked as far as I can tell in regards to maker/materials.
• Materials: Unknown base metal that is either gold tone in color or plated/filled but I cannot guarantee. The white/clear stone tests in the Topaz to Sapphire range on my Presidium Gem Tester II but I do not know if the stone is Sapphire or another gemstone that tests in that range as gemstones are not my area of expertise, nor do I know if the stone is natural or lab-made so please keep that in mind before purchasing. Nor do I know if the white & black areas are fired on glass enameling or an unknown painted finish.
