Vintage Arak Bali Gwan Hoo (GGH) Indonesia Ceramic Decanter Blue Tiki Barware:
$8.00

Vintage blue ceramic Gwan Hoo (GGH) Arak Bali double-gourd decanter features a traditional embossed Barong mask carving and a cork stopper. Produced in Indonesia as traditional novelty barware for local spirits. Shaped like a double gourd with detailed traditional Balinese mythical guardian or demon face molding on the lower bulb. Stands approximately 17 to 18 cm (6.7 to 7 inches) tall.

Gwan Gwan Hoo (GGH) is recognized as the oldest rice arak producer in Singaraja, North Bali, established in 1920. The company, rooted in Chinese-Balinese heritage, has traditionally produced arak Bali (40% alcohol) and brem Bali using rice and coconut sugar.

The vintage ceramic decanters, often described as deep blue pottery, typically feature a Balinese dragon or deity figure on the front and stamped "GGH" on the bottom. GGH bottles, are considered collector's items, particularly popular in "tiki bar" collecting communities, representing early 20th-century Balinese craft. While the company was founded in 1920, the production of these specific ceramic items represents the brand's long-standing tradition of bottling in Northern Bali, often found in vintage markets from before 2007. The brand is known for using a traditional, limited distillation process that involved burning coconut shells and wood to heat small pot stills, a technique maintained from 1920 to 1970.The brand is currently promoted as a premium, family-run heritage arak with roots in Buleleng
