This is an authentic late 1940\'s, to early 1950\'s commercial civilian home front flag. Made of loose-weave cotton fabric with a 48 star configuration printed directly onto the canton fabric. This would have been hung from a porch pole, in a window for a family member that was serving overseas, a parade or civil decoration. Brass grommets, originally 3\' x 5\' it survived decades of display & storage. Now is closer to dimensions of 33 1/2\" x 59 1/2.\" In remarkably good pre-owned vintage condition with a desirable light \"patina,\" uniform aging a couple of stains (shown in photos). Please see all photos and zoom in as they are part of my description. Great Authentic Rustic Americana Decor. Makes a fantastic above couch wall display.
