Plasto Mfg. Co. chalkware table lamp with a Civil War field cannon base, draped with a molded American flag rendered in red, white, and blue. Cannon sits on a oval platform with cannonballs at the base and detailed spoked wheels. Original drum shade covered in cotton star print fabric, red binding top and bottom. Shade has age wear consistent with its years. Has some indentation on one side but I believe if you work it from the inside you can reshape it back. It’s not heavily noticeable but worth mentioning. Lamp functions and retains its original cord. Maker’s mark stamped clearly on the base. Has some minor white marks. Love the age of this.

Plasto Mfg. Co. was a Chicago-based manufacturer producing chalkware lamps through the 1950s and into the 1960s. Patriotic figural subjects are among their harder-to-find examples.
