This is a1910s 4th of July patriotic postcard illustration of Betsy Ross resting after spending all tireless energy sewing the first American flag. This was also an advertising postcard fromThe Colonial Life Insurance Company.
Interesting note: Betsy Ross is often depicted as an older woman but this postcard more closely resembles her actual age when the flag was created, she was only 24.
Standard postcard size (5.5 x 3.5) - litho postcard with a gloss finish.
Great condition - has a small and mostly unnoticeable surface crack in the upper left corner and a few of the corners show wear.Great color and is an admirable display piece.
