Before Disney collecting moved online, there was something special about being an official member of the Walt Disney Collectors Society. The mail would arrive, you would open your membership folder, discover upcoming events and new collectibles, and find out where the newest Walt Disney Classics Collection pieces could be purchased. This wonderful group of original paperwork takes you right back to that era.
Dating to 1994, only the second year of the Walt Disney Collectors Society, this original folio features Jiminy Cricket on the cover with beautiful teal character artwork along the side.
Inside is a fascinating collection of original Society materials, including the 1994 membership renewal letter, Facts and Firsts information, product order form, Authorized Dealers List and Flight of Fancy Events schedule. The dealer and event lists are especially fun pieces of Disney history, preserving the names of gift shops, Hallmark stores and collectible dealers where WDCC collectors once hunted for their newest treasures.
The renewal letter even announces the exclusive 1994 Cheshire Cat Twas Brillig membership sculpture and matching cloisonné pin.
Original vintage Disney paperwork in very nice preserved condition with minor age and handling wear as photographed.
A wonderful little 1994 Disney collecting time capsule and an unusual survivor from the early days of WDCC.
