Beautiful vintage Norwegian-style tine/bentwood box, hand painted with traditional Telemark-style rosemaling. The blue-gray background is decorated with sweeping floral scrollwork in shades of green, orange, blue and white.Signed J. Clemenson and dated ’89 (1989). Traditional wooden construction features a fitted lid, raised center carrying handle and decorative upright side pieces. A wonderful piece of Scandinavian/Norwegian folk art for display, storage or a rosemaling collection.Approximate measurements:
