This listing features a highly collectible job lot of two original, empty vintage Punch Manuel Lopez storage boxes crafted from solid cedar wood. The larger case is clearly stamped on the base with the historical production date code from June 1972, making these authentic pieces over fifty years old. Both boxes showcase ornate multi-coloured lithograph paper borders, gilded coins, and the detailed classic artwork of the brand's mascot inside the lids. The lot includes a slim 5-count case and a deeper 25-count case, both retaining their delicate interior protective paper lining flaps.
The timber structures are solid, square, and completely sound, with clean interior trays that still carry a faint fragrance of aged cedar wood. The internal paper hinges function smoothly. The exterior white lid surfaces show honest vintage character, including mild storage dust, light handling marks, and natural age-toning spots. The outer paper decorative trims are in great shape for their age, exhibiting only minor edge rubbing and the sliced remnants of the original paper seals. Please look closely through the gallery photos to view the crisp 1972 base stamps and the vibrant condition of the internal lithograph artwork.
