Vintage Puma 970 Game Warden lockback folding knife, made in Germany. The blade carries the \"970 PUMA-GAME-WARDEN / NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL / HANDMADE\" etch and the \"PUMA GERMANY\" stamp. The code on the lock bar dates it to 1971 under Puma\'s dating system.
Details
- Single stainless clip-point blade with nail nick and jimped spine
- Wood handle scales, brass bolsters, lanyard hole
- Lockback
- Approx. 4 7/8 in closed, 3 7/8 in blade (published figures for this model)
- Includes a black leather snap pouch (maker unknown; not confirmed original to the opens, locks up firmly, and closes as it should.
- Heavy green verdigris on the brass bolsters and pins.
- Scuffs and wear on the wood handle.
- Scratches on both blade faces; a few small dark specks near the tip (dirt or light pitting). Etch partly faded but readable.
- Pouch is worn and scuffed with a whitish haze.
