Wonderful vintage Mid-Century Modern dimensional sailboat wall art, believed to date from approximately the late 1950s to 1960s.
This striking nautical panel features a vertical arrangement of raised, sculpted wooden sailboats in classic period colors of seafoam green, salmon pink, soft yellow and white. The curved dimensional sails and hulls are mounted against a richly textured brown burlap background, accented by two small white seagulls.
The artwork is surrounded by a handsome warm walnut-toned wood frame, creating a fantastic combination of natural wood, texture and pastel color. The long, narrow proportions make it an especially attractive statement piece for a Mid-Century Modern, coastal, nautical, beach house or retro interior. Measures approximately 31” x12”.
The back is wood with its original-style wire hanging hardware.
