Step back into the golden era of the classic 1950s American road trip! This is an incredibly rare, original vintage mid-century clear glass promotional advertising ashtray from the historic Augusta Motel on West Seventh Street in Augusta, Kansas. Features an elegant scalloped round design with 4 corner cigarette slots. The center basin displays a perfectly preserved, bold black stamp showcasing their historic, ultra-vintage "Phone 281" number from the early telephone exchange days. The glass is in spectacular vintage condition with beautiful clarity and zero chips, cracks, or fading to the graphic paint. Makes a wonderful retro catchall dish for loose change or keys on an entry table, a fantastic piece of Kansas history for a home bar or garage, or a rare find for a serious roadside Americana collector
