ITEM DESCRIPTION:Up for sale is a massive, highly collectible estate lot of original 1940s World War II civil and military aircraft spotting and recognition items. This incredible historical collection includes rare guidebooks, reference booklets, black-and-white photos, cardboard silhouette cutouts, and a scarce European porcelain aircraft card.
This is an instant, comprehensive collection perfect for militaria collectors, aviation historians, or WWII display setups.
LOT INCLUDES & ITEM SPECIFICATIONS:1. \"Aeronautics Aircraft Spotters\' Guide\" - Issue No. 4 (National Aeronautics Council) - Dimensions: 9\" x 5.75\" - Condition: Original small piece of tape reinforcing the bottom of the spine. Clean inside pages.
2. \"Aircraft Identification for Fighting Airmen\" by Squadron Leader G.E. Wilson (1943) - Dimensions: 9\" x 7\" - Condition: Vintage paperback with minor shelf wear at the top/bottom of the spine and a small amount of wear along the top edge of the front cover.
3. Richfield Oil \"Airplanes\" Collector\'s Booklet - Dimensions: 6.5\" x 5.5\" - Features: Contains 12 vintage plane stamps/cards neatly taped inside, plus one extra loose card (Douglas B-19). - Condition: The back cover is loose at the bottom of the spine but remains fully attached. PLEASE NOTE: The top edge of the back cover has a small section cleanly clipped off where the original owner’s name was historically removed (as pictured). Front graphics and interior stamps are unaffected.
4. \"Modern Warplanes of the World\" Booklet - Dimensions: 5.75\" x 3.75\" - Features: Packed with 40 full-color illustrations of global wartime aircraft. Excellent color retention.
5. Porcelain ViboCard by Georg Steizner (Dornier Do J II 8-t Wal) - Dimensions: 5.75\" x 4\" - Condition: Excellent. A unique and scarce German-manufactured porcelain collectible showing the iconic Dornier \"Wal\" flying boat.
6. Vintage B&W Aircraft Photos (29 Photos Total) - Dimensions: 8\" x 5.25\" each - Condition: 12 are in pristine/perfect condition. 17 feature vintage tape marks/residue in the upper left and right corners from historic mounting.
7. Perryman Cardboard Aircraft Cutouts (9 Cutouts Total) - Dimensions: 3.75\" x 3.25\" each - Features: Silhouette spotter illustrations including the Curtiss P-40, Messerschmitt, Boeing B-17, and more. - Condition: Each features a vintage notation neatly written in pencil in the upper right-hand corner.
