This lot features 8 original, pre-war candy premium cards from the highly collectible "Jungle Gum" series, produced in the mid-1930s by the World Wide Gum Co. (cataloged by collectors as the R78 set).

The fronts feature beautifully detailed, pastel-toned illustrations of wild animals in their natural habitats. The reverses carry educational descriptions of the animals alongside the iconic collector's slogan, "Start a Zoo — As You Chew." While the card backs state the series is part of a 192-card set, only 48 cards were ever actually produced during its short pre-war run.
