Vintage National Metal Products Co. Pistol Flashlight – Blue Handle – Working
Original vintage pistol-shaped flashlight manufactured by National Metal Products Co., New York.
Collector reference GotaLight.net identifies this style of pistol flashlight as possibly dating to the late 1930s, although examples are sometimes dated to the early 1950s. The reference notes that these were produced with several different colored handles, including colored versions less commonly encountered than the chrome/plain examples.
This example features an original-looking blue painted metal pistol grip with cylindrical metal flashlight body and trigger-operated switch.
Tested and WORKING — the trigger successfully operates the flashlight, as shown in the photos.
Uses two C-cell batteries. Batteries are not included.
Measures approximately 5½ inches overall.
Condition is used vintage condition with substantial authentic age and use wear. Blue grip retains considerable original paint but has scattered paint loss, scratches and surface oxidation. Flashlight body has extensive finish wear, oxidation, discoloration and scratches. Threaded end cap removes properly. Reflector, bulb assembly and spring are present. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
