I bought this in an antique store over a decade ago. This is a scrapbook made using a “Home Owners’ Catalogs” book as the base for the countless newspaper clippings ranging from the late 1930s-1970 mostly from the Columbus Citizen and Colombus Dispatch newspapers (the original creator of this scrapbook appears to have lived there)
that contain everything from important world events to more local ones as well.
This scrapbook contains war ration tickets/applications for war rations, hotel business cards, event tickets, matchbook covers from different places visited on vacation, a few postcards, and more! Many of the articles have notations in the margins handwritten in beautiful penmanship notating dates, extra interesting facts, and notes about how the article relates to either someone the maker of this scrapbook knew or their spouse knew.
