Original antique 1897 sepia gelatin silver cabinet card photograph featuring a large group of young people posed outdoors on a grassy hillside at Hooksett Pinnacle.
The composition arranges several young men standing at the back in jackets and caps, with an older woman and many girls or young women seated and reclining in front, their light and dark dresses forming layered bands of tone against the shaded background of trees.
Printed in warm sepia tones as a gelatin silver print on photographic paper, the image is mounted in horizontal format to a textured light card with embossed double borders in cabinet card style, the overall mount measuring approximately 6 x 8 inches.
The reverse side of the mount bears a handwritten ink inscription reading "Hooksett Pinnacle, June 28, 1897," along with a long pencil list of names that appear to include W Dee, Emma Hastings, Annie Degan, Florence George, Eva Hodge, Effie, Florence Clough, Mary Moon, and Mary Patterson.
Well suited for collections centered on late 19th-century youth groups, outdoor leisure, regional history, or vernacular portraiture, the photograph is offered as a single original unframed cabinet card, with any brass display stands, rulers, or other props visible in the listing photos shown for scale and presentation only and not included.
