HEMATITE:Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Dimensions: 3.6 x 3.1 x 1.4cm, miniature. An excellent, highly lustrous, metallic \"iron rose\" group of Hematite from this classic Brazilian locality. This super aesthetic piece consists of a tightly intergrown trio of hexagonal plates with slightly concave faces composed of attractive lamellar layers forming flattened \"roses\". The individual \"crystals\" measure 2, 2 and 1.5cm across. This is a showy, well composed miniature in excellent condition. I bought this beautiful miniature on my last trip to Brazil in 2023.
