VTG Solid Brass Gimbaled Candlestick Holder Nautical Ship Chamberstick Marine
Beautiful vintage nautical gimbaled candlestick holder. This is a heavy, high-quality solid brass piece, not a cheap plated alternative. Originally designed for maritime use on ships, the clever self-leveling swivel mechanism allows the candle to stay upright even as the vessel tilts and rocks.
It features a classic chamberstick base with an integrated finger-loop handle for easy carrying. Perfect as a functional historical accent, coastal mantle piece, or addition to a nautical collection.
Condition Details:
This item is in good vintage condition. The brass has a brilliant polished shine, but shows minor signs of age and use, including light surface scratches and tiny lacquer pitting along the swinging arms and handle rim (please see close-up photos for exact details). The gimbal mechanism swings smoothly and balances perfectly.
