Beautiful vintage Jaeger Swiss mechanical clock designed in the form of a classic Parisian street lamp. The piece features a dark green enameled metal body with gold-tone trim, an ivory-colored lamp shade, and a blue “RUE DE LA PAIX” street sign. This piece is approximately 11.25\" high, sturdy and heavy.
The round clock face has black Roman numerals, ornate black hands, gold-tone bezel, and the JAEGER name on the dial. The bottom of the dial is marked SWISS MADE.
The rear reveals the mechanical movement with winding and adjustment controls. The movement is marked “15 pierres” (15 jewels) and “MOVT.”
A particularly attractive decorative clock with a wonderful mid-century Paris/French theme. Great for a collector of Jaeger clocks, Swiss mechanical clocks, miniature street lamps, or vintage Paris décor.
Condition
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. General paint surface wear consistent with age. The dial and street sign present nicely. Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-ups of the movement, base, top and finish.
We purchased this item at a lovely estate sale. It is not currently ticking, and we are not experts with clocks, but seems like an easy fix. As such, this clock is untested.
