Bought as deadstock some years ago in New York City, this beautiful vintage rose medallion plate has been kept in storage since purchase, and would constitute a splendid addition to a collection of Rose Medallion pieces. It likely dates from the 1970s. Crafted with the marvellous techniques of Guangcai porcelain overglaze painting, this plate is a testament to the rich tradition of Cantonese porcelain artistry. The reverse is stamped with 乾隆年製 or \"made during the Qianlong reign\" in overglaze red.
This plate is in good vintage condition, with some slight loss to the enamels in spots as shown.
