This horse bit was made during the Civil War time period adding historical significance to its design and origin. Perfect for collectors interested in the Civil War era, this authentic item offers a unique glimpse into the military history of the United States during that time.Came with a tag that is supposedly the history of this horse bit. I found it in Aberdeen South Dakota which is not that far from Fort Sisseton in South Dakota. Plausible story that doesn\'t detract from the authenticity of the horse bit.
