Offered for the first time ever – genuine handwriting from legendary American Baseball Center Fielder and Hall of Famer, Ty Cobb, authenticated and encapsulated by (BAS) Beckett Authentication Services.
Each handwritten word was carefully removed from 1955 handwritten letter from Cobb.
You will not receive a copy of the handwritten notes from Cobb, the 4th image is shown purely to illustrate where the word(s) came from. You will only receive the BAS encapsulated partial word, "your", encapsulate #00020260271.
Each encapsulated word was individually removed from a February 1955 letter written by Cobb to a man seeking assistance in researching Cobb’s ancestry including his family’s Masonic roots, likely for the development of his biography.
Genuine Cobb autograph letters are hard to come by and can fetch thousands of dollars. This encapsulated word offers a rare and affordable opportunity to own an authentic piece of handwriting from the same hand that propelled the legendary “Georgia Peach” to the highest lifetime batting average in Major League Baseball (MLB) history. Cobb holds the distinction of also being the very first person voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
The cost of authenticating a single word of Cobb’s handwriting is $100 on Beckett's website.
