Authentic Tiffany Studios New York Grapevine pattern bronze and art glass letter/paper rack, model 1008, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1910.
This substantial Tiffany Studios desk accessory features the celebrated Grapevine pattern, with intricate pierced bronze grape leaves, vines and grape clusters over beautifully mottled green, blue-green and opalescent glass.
The glass shows rich variation in tone, ranging from deep emerald green to softer blue-green and milky opalescent areas. The bronze retains an attractive original aged surface with brown, copper and green patina, including areas of natural verdigris. It has not been polished or refinished.
The rack is designed with multiple graduated compartments, creating a stepped profile for letters, papers and correspondence.

One left-side glass panel has a small hairline crack, visible on close inspection and shown in the photographs. The glass remains securely in place and the hairline is not visually dominant when displayed.
