Condition
Pre-Owned / Professionally Custom Built / Never Run / Display Only / Untested
Although listed as pre-owned due to its age, custom assembly and cosmetic aging, this car has never actually been run, raced or electrically tested. It was professionally assembled many years ago and has remained a display piece ever since.
Description
Tamiya Mini 4WD MA Chassis – Professionally Custom Built – HG Carbon Upgrades – Never Run
This is an older Tamiya Mini 4WD custom build based on the MA Chassis, professionally assembled and customized for me many years ago by the owner of a dedicated Mini 4WD shop.
Approximately C$200–300 was spent at the time on the car, upgrade parts, customization and professional assembly. This amount is provided only as background regarding the original build and is not intended to represent the current market value of the car or any individual component.
I no longer remember the exact specifications or individual part numbers used in the build. Therefore, please use the actual photos as the primary reference for the configuration and installed components.
Important Note About the “Pre-Owned” Condition
Although this item is listed as Pre-Owned/Used, this is primarily because of its age, custom assembly, lack of original packaging and age-related cosmetic deterioration.
The car itself has never actually been run or raced.
It has also never been electrically tested by me.
After it was professionally assembled, it was kept as a display piece and has remained that way for many years.
Visible Features / Configuration
Based on what can currently be identified, the car includes:
* Genuine Tamiya MA Chassis
* Tamiya Mini 4WD High Grade Carbon front/rear plates
* Multiple aluminum/metal roller components
* Metal spacers, screws, nuts and related upgraded hardware
* Custom wheel and tire setup
* Motor installed
* Custom matte-black body/finish
* Various additional components associated with the original custom build
There may be additional internal upgrades, but the exact motor type, gearing, bearings, drivetrain components and other internal specifications are unknown.
No specific internal upgrade or performance specification is guaranteed.
Usage History – NEVER RUN
This car was built primarily as a display piece.
It has never been run. It has never been raced. It has never been used on a Mini 4WD track.
After professional assembly, it was placed on display and remained there for many years.
Therefore, the cosmetic deterioration described below is not the result of racing, track use or normal running wear.
Important Cosmetic Condition Notice
Despite never having been run, this is now an older collectible that has been displayed/stored for many years.
The matte-black finish has begun to deteriorate, flake and peel in some areas due to age and long-term display/storage.
This deterioration became particularly noticeable while photographing the car for this listing.
There may also be dust, minor marks, surface imperfections, oxidation, discoloration or other signs of natural aging and long-term display.
The car is therefore not being represented as mint or cosmetically perfect, despite its never-run history.
Please carefully examine all listing photos at full size. The photographs show the actual item being sold and form an important part of the condition description.
Motor / Electrical Function – COMPLETELY UNTESTED
A motor is installed; however, the car has never been electrically tested by me, including for this listing.
No batteries will be installed and no operational testing will be performed prior to sale.
Because this is an older collectible, age-related oxidation, corrosion or deterioration of the motor, electrical contacts, metal components or other internal parts may potentially be present even if it is not externally visible.
Accordingly:
The motor, electrical system and all running functions are sold completely UNTESTED.
No guarantee is made regarding current or future functionality.
The buyer should assume that servicing, adjustment or replacement of components may be required if they intend to operate the car.
Exact Parts / Specifications Unknown
Because this custom build was completed many years ago, I no longer remember its exact technical configuration.
I cannot guarantee the exact model, brand, specification or part number of every roller, bearing, motor, gear, wheel, tire, spacer, screw or other component.
The components specifically identified in this listing are limited to those that can reasonably be confirmed from visible markings and construction.
Please identify and evaluate the installed components from the actual photos before purchasing.
The car will not be disassembled to identify hidden or internal components.
What You Will Receive
You will receive the complete assembled Mini 4WD car exactly as shown in the listing photos.
No original box, packaging, instructions, spare parts, tools or additional accessories are included unless specifically shown in the photographs.
What you see is exactly what you will receive.
AS-IS / Additional Testing Notice
This is an older, professionally custom-built collectible and is being sold AS-IS, exactly as shown.
Due to its age, unknown exact configuration, long-term display history, completely untested mechanical/electrical condition and age-related cosmetic deterioration, no guarantee is made regarding completeness of the original custom configuration, motor or electrical operation, mechanical performance, racing capability, condition of hidden/internal components, durability of the aging finish, or current/future functionality.
No additional disassembly, electrical testing, running test, repair or troubleshooting will be performed upon request.
Please review all photographs carefully and purchase based on the item’s current visible condition, rather than its original build cost or presumed performance.
Final sale. No returns or exchanges.
