The Stanley No 6 Type 6 Antique Plane is a rare collectible tool that has been used for over 130 years. This plane has all original finishes and correct patina for its age. Light scratches on its sole. Blade has not been used much. Chip breaker good shape. Tote has not been repaired although there is an inherent black ring around it that resembles a repair in the color of the wood and it has a small amount of crazing in the lacquer finish from long use. Front knob in excellent condition. Frog great shape brass adjustment knob has pat info inside appropriate for type. There is a faint owners name on left side of sole written in script. Japaning all original 96% cap iron no chips excellent shape. Great for collection or user I’ve had it in my collection for 15 yrs but downsizing now I think you will be happy with this in your collection thanks for shopping.
