Listed is a colonial era Spanish oilive jar dug in Havana Cuba during road construction. The area was close to the shore of Havana harbor. several of these were found broken and several whole .you could see the natural straw mark indentions from the making of the jar in the mold turning process and other pieces of small things that got stuck in the clay all from the making and part of the history of the jug .these were mostly used for caring olive oil in ships to other ports .the jar has a reddish looking color to it shown in the first photos. The later photos are more white looking because of the bright lightning .its stands about 12 and 1/2 inches tall and 9 and 1/2 inches wide the mouth is 3 inches across outer edge to outer edge. The jar in in excellent condition with no breaks,or holes. the small lip chip looks like from the making process.
