Themedallion and suspension of the medal are in brass. The medallion is 32 mmwide. The medal is in GREAT condition. The gilt finish is nicely preservedhaving only a mild tarnish that adds character, no significant blemishes oroxidation spots. There are no scratches, excessive wear or other damageof any kind. The ribbon shows age but is perfectly sound. The pin attachment ofthe suspension device is fully functional.
Thedocument is a standard issue paper booklet with the state seal of the USSR andthe name of the medal on the cover, and an image of the medal in color on thefirst inside page. The opposite page has the handwritten name of the awardrecipient, Bella Oranskaya, and an April 1970 date of issue. It also shows thatthe medal was issued in the Podolskiy District (in the city of Kiev) and showsthe appropriate ink stamp of the executive committee (very faint and illegible)along with the facsimile signatures of its chairman.
Justlike the medal itself, the document is in GREAT condition, showing only storageage and no wear or damage of any kind. There is a small smear at the patronymicname of the award recipient which clearly happened when the document was beingfilled-out and does not affect the legibility of the entry.
