This is a remarkable RARE printer's proof of Ruth Weisberg's (b.1942) "GAME" from 1984. It portrays a poignant scene of innocent children happily engaged in a game. Ruth Weisberg, Professor of Fine Arts at USC, is the recipient of multiple prestigious honors and awards. Her work focuses heavily on Jewish heritage, the Holcaust, and feminist issues. It is signed, lower right and inscribed; lower left, Printer's Proof, FOR ANDY. Note that I have said this is a color lithograph because it has several subtle shades of blues as well as beige, tan, cream and black and white. The condition is good, the framing is exceptional within a shallow shadowbox with a few dings on the outside of the frame. The paper on the back has some tears.
WEIGHT OF FRAMED PIECE IS 16 lbs. Shipping weight is 23 lbs. For obvious reasons, LOCAL PICKUP IS ENCOURAGED!Frame is 34 1/2" x 35 1/2"Image is 29"x 30"
