Rough Rider RR337, Mini Trapper Imitation Abalone,3-1/2\", 2 Blades, brand NEW from Old Stock, thus \"Rider\" insteadof \"Ryder\", Vintage 2002.
Current inventory consists of the Mini-Trapper with fat (thick) handles and thedarker Abalone. No badge to hide any of the handle.
The Clip blade is more like the regular style, i.e., NOT theslimmer \"California Clip\" but still a more narrow blade with a slightly dropped point. The second bladeis a long, Spey blade, and sharp as a razor . . . I know, it gave me one of theworst finger cuts ever, I nicked the palm side of my index finger while closingthe blade without looking! Blades have distinctive half stops, allthe better to launch them toward a finger! :-). They really SNAP! closedand that Spey blade is deceptively longer in this frame than it appears. See pics.
Slotted/grooved nickel silver bolsters, each end adifferent shape, possible because the blades are hinged on the same end.
No rust, surface tarnish, pits, handle gaps, orchipped/cracked handles.
Never used, never sharpened, never carried, gentlycleaned.
Arced, match strike pulls. The springs are strong but the blades are thumbnail friendly.
Original tan box, some in tape-mended in good condition, will beincluded.
Pictures are representative of the actual knife the buyerwill receive. Current inventory is limited, individual knives can havevaried patterns, but there is little difference in overall appearance, i.e., all are close to the generic pictures.
This would be a good knife to carry and use. Theblades are sharp with factory edges right out of the box . . . I can attest.
Rough Rider qualityrivals Case at a fraction of theprice, and although many areworthy of collections, the pricing makes them affordable to carry and use.
Would make a nice present . . . wrap it with a box ofBand-Aids.
