Striking Red Dogtooth Calcite specimen from the Daye Mine area of Hubei, China. This large display piece features an impressive cluster of well-defined dogtooth Calcite points with warm red-orange Hematite coloration and fine sparkling Pyrite speckling throughout.
The specimen has excellent three-dimensional structure, with numerous prominent points rising across the matrix. Areas of translucency allow light to pass through the Calcite, while the lustrous crystal surfaces create beautiful sparkle and flash from different viewing angles. The combination of rich coloration, abundant crystal growth and its substantial 7-inch size gives this piece excellent display presence.
A beautiful and substantial Daye mineral specimen with strong crystal formation, luster and color, ideal for a mineral collection or display.
