Offered is an original World War One production United States Army issue 2-pocket rifle cartridge belt. This rare and unusual specimen is featured on page 95 or Dorsey’s Red Book. I have photographed the page for those who don’t own the book. The pockets on this garrison belt are integrated into the belt, which is significantly more scarce than the belt that had the removable pockets. These were believed to have been made by Mills. This one is offered as pictured and shows only normal soiling (especially given its age) and has one area of fraying (as pictured) which does not in any way compromise the strength of the belt. The stitching is tight and the metal secure. The snaps function just as they should. It has the faint remains of an ink stamp on the back and the handwritten name Fox. A rare piece to help round out your collection.
