Extremely rare early Southern California milk bottle from the Lynwood Dairy, operated by Sessions & Co. in Los Angeles County.

This is a very early example featuring its original wire-bail tin-top closure and an early thick lip without the later-style cap seat. The glass is also beginning to develop a subtle amethyst tint, adding to its antique character.
In 1902, C. H. Sessions acquired approximately 400 acres and established a dairy and creamery. His wife’s maiden name was Lynne Wood, inspiring the name “Lynwood Dairy and Creamery.” The dairy was located near what is now Sanborn Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard.
Condition is consistent with its considerable age. The bottle displays surface scratches, light haze, manufacturing irregularities, and general wear. The original metal closure mechanism remains attached and has oxidation, rust, and aged patina. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition.
An exceptionally scarce piece of early Los Angeles County dairy history and a desirable addition to a California milk-bottle, advertising, or local-history collection.
