Beautiful Glossy Ammonite Fossil with Translucent Calcite Center

Nakagawa, Hokkaido, Japan

This is a beautiful natural ammonite fossil discovered in the Nakagawa area of Hokkaido, Japan, on September 3rd.

It is believed to date back approximately 80 million years to the Late Cretaceous Period.

One of the most distinctive features of this specimen is its translucent calcite mineralization in the central area. The fossil also has a beautiful natural luster across much of its surface.

The shine is difficult to fully capture in photographs. Under sunlight, the surface reflects the light beautifully and appears noticeably more glossy and brilliant than it does in the pictures.

This is a unique natural specimen with beautiful mineralization, making it an attractive piece for ammonite, fossil, and natural history collectors.

The fossil will be shipped in its current condition exactly as shown in the photographs. As fossils are naturally delicate, it will be carefully and securely packed with protective materials for international shipping.
