The product is a rare 1929 Plomb Tools open end tappet wrench, U89 9C specifically designed with sizes 9/16" and 1/2". This vintage / antique piece is a unique find for collectors of tools and hardware, showcasing the quality craftsmanship of USA-made tools from the past. The Plomb brand adds a touch of nostalgia and authenticity to this sought-after collectible item. ***Rare early PLOMB wrench. - The Plomb Tool Company started using a stylized inverted triangle shaped like a "V" for the letter "O" in PLOMB starting in 1934, making it look like PLVMB. This design choice helped distinguish their branding during historical trademark friction with the Plumb axe company. So any PLOMB items with the "O" in the spelling would be dated 1934 or earlier. Evolution of the Logo
- 1934: The Plomb Tool Company introduced the inverted triangle design in Los Angeles to replace a standard round "O".
- 1945–1948: The prominent "pebble-style" finish era used the distinct PLVMB stamp widely on production hand tools.
