Rare 1915 Large 13”Galluba & Hofmann 426 Bathing Beauty Figurine,Original Dress
She is shown with a very sweet and pensive expression, standing in anelegant raised-arm pose on her original integral bisque base, incised 426 onthe underside
Made of precolored and painted bisque, with the characteristic refinedmodeling and painted facial features. She wears her original salmon-coloredlace one-piece garment, with shoulder straps, a fitted bodice, and knee-length bloomersfinished with elaborate scalloped lace trim. Matching ribbons and bonnetcomplete the outfit. Her original dark brown mohair wig is also preserved,styled in its original updo.
Model 426/1 is illustrated and described in a period Galluba & Hofmannfactory catalog (not for sale), where it can be seen as the tallest model of its period.
