Offered is an exceptionally scarce original souvenir felt pennant from the 1912 Chicago Automobile Show, one of America's premier automotive exhibitions during the Brass Era.
The pennant measures approximately 28 inches in length and features a beautifully printed illustration of an early open touring automobile along with the gold lettering:
"Coliseum and 1st Regt. Armory Chicago Auto Show 1912."
The 1912 Chicago Automobile Show was held at both the Chicago Coliseum and the First Regiment Armory and showcased hundreds of automobiles, commercial vehicles, and the newest automotive technology from America's leading manufacturers. Contemporary newspaper accounts described record attendance and millions of dollars' worth of automobiles on display as the automobile industry entered one of its fastest periods of growth.
The automobile illustrated on the pennant is not identified by make, but its styling is consistent with luxury Brass Era touring cars of the period, resembling automobiles built by manufacturers such as Packard, Locomobile, Peerless, and similar marques that exhibited at major American auto shows during the early 1910s.
After extensive research, I have not been able to locate another example of this specific 1912 Chicago Auto Show pennant, making it an outstanding opportunity for collectors of early automobilia, Chicago history, or antique advertising.

Overall, this pennant remains in very good antique condition for an item over 110 years old.
