Offered here is a Remington 3-blade split-back whittler pocketknife in very good vintage condition. Its carbon steel blades measure 1 3/8 inches for the cut-off pen, 1 5/8 for the small clip, and 2 7/16 inches for the main sabre clip which has a long pull and a blood groove on each side, a special feature not often seen. Each blade has strong “walk and talk” snap and given sharp working edges. Its handle measures 3 3/8 inches, has nickel silver bolsters, pins and crest shield, milled brass liners, and a set of solid jigged bone scales.
According to their markings, the cut-off pen blade was made between 1924 to 1933, the small clip 1933 to 1935, and the main sabre clip 1935 to 1940, which was the last year Remington made knives after selling their cutlery division to the Pal Blade Company.
