Extremely rare antique Ukrainian-American fraternal pin associated with NARODNA POMICH (НАР. ПОМІЧ / Ukrainian National Aid Association).
The organization was founded in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area in the early 20th century and was known as Narodna Pomich before the name was expanded to Ukrainian National Aid Association.
The pin features a beautifully detailed image believed to represent Archangel Michael, surrounded by rich blue and yellow enamel, the traditional Ukrainian national colors.
The border bears the Ukrainian abbreviation “НАР. ПОМІЧ”, with “N.M.A.S.” appearing at the bottom.

Historical Significance
Narodna Pomich was an important Ukrainian-American fraternal benefit organization established in the Pittsburgh area during the great period of Ukrainian immigration to the United States.
The organization was originally known simply as “Narodna Pomich” (National Aid Association) before adopting the expanded Ukrainian National Aid Association name in 1926.
This makes the old НАР. ПОМІЧ inscription particularly interesting to collectors of early Ukrainian-American history, immigration memorabilia, fraternal organizations and Ukrainian religious artifacts.
Rarity
I have been unable to locate another identical example of this particular N.M.A.S. / НАР. ПОМІЧ Archangel Michael enamel pin.
Because surviving early Ukrainian-American organizational insignia can be extremely difficult to identify, this is an excellent opportunity for an advanced collector.
Please examine all photographs carefully. They are an important part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
A rare piece of early Ukrainian-American history worthy of an advanced collection.
