This is a scarce 1966 first edition hardcover of 蒼風の花 (Sōfū no Hana, “Flowers of Sōfū”), authored by Sofu Teshigahara (1900–1979), founder and first headmaster of the Sogetsu school of ikebana — the avant-garde flower arranging movement that broke from traditional forms and earned Teshigahara the nickname “the Picasso of flowers” in the French and American press.
